Hi. I'm new to this forum. Thank you for letting me join. I'm in the Charlotte NC area. I was in the market for a new grill. I was looking at the new Weber's found out they were made in China, went down a rabbit hole found this forum. Saw a few Genesis 2000 on FB, black and skyline one wouldn't move enough on price one never responded. Very next day a Genesis 2000 redhead popped up. She needed to sell I wanted to buy we met on a price picked up. I fired it up works great. Needs a few things and a deep clean. I'll probably put a few mi on it first then do restoration.

Great pickup, your going to love the way she cooks! We all enjoy seeing the restoration coming along so keep posting!

I'm in ft. Mill. I'm excited. I can see this turning into a hobby for me. Everything works on the grill Ignitor and all. The girl I got it from never used it, it came with a full tank. All the post on this forum made want to find a old Genesis. A lot of information and knowledge here.

Welcome to TVWBB! Whatcha going to grill first?
I usually grill the protein for my lunches for the week on Sunday. So I load up the grill. I don't have it planned out yet for next week. Usually chicken, some sort of cow, and either sausage, shrimp or pork. In the summer I'll get a little more color on the grill with veggies, pineapple, corn. I've been chomping at the bit to use, I just picked it up mon.

Looks like you did good post your bbq pic
First time using it. Still finding it's quirks and so. The one picture isn't on the grill. I am just assuming most people on here also like cast iron skillets. As I'm grilling I cook my veggies for the week
that grill looks cool - making me consider looking around for a gasser!
It's nice for me. I like the convenience. Plus gas food is better reheated. I usually cook for the week.

Update: I like it. Cooking with heat, not intense grease flare ups. I'm going to use it the rest of the season. Tear it down rebuild pass it down to my son.
