Has anyone try this? Also, How should I apply it to the Meat? I have seen where they use oil and then apply the Rub. I have also seen them use mustard and then apply the Rub? Which is best..
 
I have not tried this rub, for the most part I make my own rubs and have never purchased one. I have used oil and I have used mustard to help season my Q. Both work well and when you use mustard you don't get any of the taste.
 
I'd do oil and apply the rub. Like James said either works. Neither works ok too, lol. I've had their Pecan one and it was pretty good. They have a help line that's pretty friendly.
 
Ya, I think that whatever you put on the meat to get the rub to stick to doesn't make much difference. I use spicy mustard and recently tried chipotle mayonnaise (which works on small chunks of fried fish and meat) and still didn't taste anything but the rub
 
I've used canola oil and mustard. I seem to be on a mustard kick lately. Probably because I'll snack on a hotdog while I'm smoking. Haha.
