John Fogerty

I had the extreme pleasure to see John Fogerty last night at a venue south of Nashville. I have, at least for 50 years, enjoyed his and CCR's music. This was my first opportunity to see him. He was celebrating the return of owners rights to his music.

His two sons were in the band with him which I though was very cool. His older son, Shane, is quite the musician. John and Shane absolutely tore it up while playing The Old Man Down The Road.

Another cool thing, he had given away is Rickenbacker I guess at a low point in his life. This was the Ric he played at Woodstock and it is what you see playing in a lot of the films during the peak of popularity. Well his wife was able to find it and gave it to him for Christmas.

Unbelievable show. I hope I am half as vibrant as he is when I'm 78.

Very nice!

I saw the thread title and thought
“uh oh…”.

Happy to read John is still performing- a great talent.

It's crazy that Fogerty's name popped up on this forum. I have three of his songs (Centerfield, Down on the Corner, Bad Moon Rising) on the list of songs I've been practicing on my guitar this summer.

Don’t do that to me! I saw the title and went “oh sh……. did he die!?” Almost had a heart attack there!

I’m a big fan of his CCR stuff as well as solo. I don’t know I’ve you’ve seen his vids on YouTube where he plays with his two boys and daughter. Came about during the BS three years ago
