Jealous Devil - non lump products

I'm not a fan of their regular briquettes for anything other than low and slow. I haven't tried either of these but I'm intrigued. Their lump is fantastic.
I use their briquettes for low and slow. They have a darker ash when done, but work well. With B&B killing their Oak briquettes, I am going to these for LAS.

Interested to see some of your reviews. I wasnt a fan of B&B char logs for L&S esp in my kamado. Had an off smell and taste to the meat.
Now JD briqs work great in my kamado as does the lump.

Ironically had the opposite with JD. Every time I used it it gave off an odd ammonia smell in my WSM. It happened with multiple bags. They’re all stored in my garage away from the elements, and animals (if you know where I’m going with that). Never had that smell with B&B or Kingsford.
