since I posted any pics. I've been cooking - but been slackin' as far as taking pictures. Here's what I did yesterday..
Started off by stuffing some mushrooms (actually Tonya did). Used this for a recipe.
Stuffed and ready to go in the oven
Put these on the kettle while the shrooms were cooking
Meanwhile, back at the WSM, these pork steaks have been cooking for about an hour at 250-275. Pecan and apple wood was used for smoke. My favorite home-made rib rub was the seasoning of choice. There are eight steaks on the WSM (4 on each rack).
ABT's are getting done after about 40-45 minutes
Mushrooms done (You've gotta try these)
Pork steaks sauced with Sweet Baby Rays/Apple Juice mix
Sorry, no plated pics. I was so hungry and everything looked so good that I forgot to take any. The sides were Tonya's home-made potato salad and coleslaw (both delicious of course.) The shrooms were great, the ABT's heavenly, and the pork steaks were awesome! One of the best meals I've had in a while.
Thanks for looking everyone!
