I don't get it. Yea, it's dirty. Maybe even looks like the family dog peed on the lid. But... I'd be all over that smoker! Scrub the #€££ out of it (at least once with something bleach based), dump a bag in it, do a high heat seasoning on it & then let it rip!
You Bay area guys are so lucky! Down here in so-cal, you can't touch a used 22 wsm for twice the $$ - if at all. That's even cheaper than what used 18.5's are going for! Yup. I'd be all over it. And maybe drive over your grandma to get it... J/k ;-)

That's the first one I've seen below $200 and when I did see a $200 one, I was on my way to pick it up and someone said "I'll give you $250 for it" and the seller jumped on the offer while on my way there. I get within 5 miles of picking it up, and I get the call..."just sold it for $250."

That one is just too rough for me...alas my search continues

It does not look to be that bad. Just looks like its been sitting a while. Grates look good, nothing drizzling down the door, legs look clean. Could just be a little dust and dirt. I would ask them for a couple more pictures and maybe it might look a bit nicer. At least they are storing it indoors.

for a hundred and a half, That's A STEAL!
clean it up a bit and it'll look brand new again!
for that price on a 22" I'DA BOUGHT IT!

Paid $125 for my used 18" in 2009 and thought it was a great deal.
I'd have been on this like a duck on a June bug, and I don't even want a 22.

I don't understand why some sellers are so lazy about cleaning an item before selling it.
I've seen listings with cigarette butts in the ash pans of kettles.

How far is Russian hill from you Chuck. I'm three hours from there with no traffic... Even at that price that's a little deep into the city for me even at that price...

I'm in the east bay, so normally approx. 2 hours. But SF is all jacked up because of the superbowl, getting in and out of there is an act of God until after the superbowl when they take down "superbowl city."

I dragged out my pressure washer and with all the encouragement, I'm thinking...I've wanted a 22 for almost 2 years...

Yeah I can see where that would be a hassle. The city can be tough and throw in a Super Bowl... That's a real good price. I got my 22 about 3 years ago for 200 but had to go to Redding to get it. Havent seen to many since for a reasonable price on CL. For that price though it might worth the hassle though. the 22 is a sweet cooker and man you can load it up with meat. Good luck.

I would buy that in a heart beat. Doesn't look like anything permanent and it actually just looks like dust. Plus, the food doesn't touch the outside.

It looks straight and not beat up. It also had the lid thermometer, so not ancient. it looks like it was covered in dust and then rained on. The vents and door look clean and not overly smoked up or greasy, so could be from low use. It can be cleaned with elbow grease, degreaser and a good cleaner. And at that price, even buy new grills if not cleanable. I would go for it!

Hot water with Dawn and a few green scotch brute pads and some elbow grease - will be like new. The enamel really holds up.

When I picked up my 22" for $125, it looked cruddy on the outside, but was only 2 years old. The guy just never took care of it. Spent a few hours and it looked brand spanking new!
