I use cedar from Home Depot. It comes in 8 foot lengths and its basically the same width and thickness of the original slats. All you need to do is cut it to length, sand and stain. For that grill, if you got the swing up and the bottom slats you will need 30 ...

You can get 6 slats out of the 8 foot board.

I’m still trying to decide on what material to use on mine, cedar would be reasonable but, I want something “unusual” maybe cypress to match the “Overperformer” or something more exotic, I’m leaning toward mahogany or teak. I just can’t decide.

I mean you could use pine I suppose? As long as its stained and sealed and kept covered i dont see why it wouldn't last.
