Is it proper or OK to swap tops?

I have a Performer with flip up table and a 22" kettle. I decided to sell the kettle but the kettle has a nicer lid with almost no fade. My performer has fade. I am thinking of selling the kettle with the performer lid. There are 2 things: 1 is the date codes will not be correct any more, 2 is the kettle has a hanger in the hood and the performer does not. Is there any "kettle code" I should follow here?

I can't imagine that a current model black kettle will ever be a collector's item, so the date code would be immaterial to me. But the lack of a hook for hanging the lid is something you should tell a buyer, since it will have an effect on the use of the kettle. Just my opinion.

The only problem as Larry has said is the lid hanger is not present in the Performer lid vs the regular lid.

I personally always hated that hook ( burnt my forearm a few times )
