Is anyone watching the drama series Landman ?

Landman is a good series especially if you like a little T&A. Billy Bob plays a great part, if you like him. I've been a big fan of BBT since Sling Blade. Just remember this is Hollywood and they do not know how to use a pipe wrench. But yeah, I'll be watching the whole season.
Watching that guy using the wrench backwards....was driving my OCD *** crazy! I'm enjoying the series, but the whole Angela/Aynsley mother/daughter thing is agonizingly bad.....those scenes are borderline unwatchable and truly detracts from what is otherwise a great show.

I am enjoying the show.
That mother daughter thing (mainly the mother) is a bit much.
It could have easily been replaced/rewritten with just about anything.

Most definitely, in all my 66 years on this earth, I've never come in contact with a father/daughter relationship like them two have.
🤔

It's going to be interesting how the helicopter that killed some drug smugglers plays out.
The pilot sounded like he may have not known them bad guys vehicles were their targets 😁

I had Paramount+ about a year ago and it had some of the better programming. Unfortunately, I had so many streaming issues with it on my Fire TV stick that i dropped it after a month. Skipping, stuttering, failure to lead and after a commercial, it would rewind to the beginning of the previous segment. They could not resolve the issues and offered 2 months free. i declined because it was too frustrating to try to watch. May give it a try again.

Any issues with any of you?

Watched the first episode last night. They had me with the first scene. Watching him negotiate the lease with the cartel with a bag over his head. I told my wife only BBT could pull that off.

What's nice about the series is you can watch videos of someone analyzing ever episode.
Let's say you don't understand a particular scene in a certain episode, there are many different people describing the whole episode for you on video.

There are 2 parts to this, the story-telling and the acting. The series creator and writer is Taylor Sheriden, who is an actor/director/screenwriter behind many popular series such as the "Yellowstone" franchise (including prequels "1883" and "1923", and possibly more to follow), "Mayor of Kingstown", "Tulsa King"; as well as movies like "Wind River" and "Hell or High Water". He is a master story-teller, to say the least.

The "Landman" series was written specifically for BBT, a great actor who also starred in the "Goliath" TV series. If you like BBT like we do, he does an outstanding job in the first season of the "Fargo" TV series, written by another master story-teller, Noah Hawley.

We have a friend of the family who is a roughneck in the geothermal industry. He suggested the "Black Gold" TV series for a somewhat accurate depiction of what life is like working on a derrick, and all 3 seasons (44 episodes, from 2008-2010) are available to stream for free on Tubi. We binge-watched the series and it seemed to us that some of the events were staged for TV, but at least we now know what "trippin' pipe" is and why nobody wants to do it. He's a Marine and usually the one to go up the ladder to do it but he says it gets cold up there, especially if it's winndy and rainy. At least the guys are counterweighted so climbing the ladder isn't so much of a chore.

WOW
I am speechless about episode 10, it sure made episode 9 more understandable.

I am so into this show, I can't ever remember a series that I've been more into 🤔

All I can say is the producers of this show didn't leave any stone unturned.

People, get on the band wagon cause it's going to be a interesting season 2👍

I felt the same once I'd gotten into The Sopranos. I'd always heard about it. Sometimes people I worked with at the time, would call me Tony likely because I can sometimes come off as well......................a little "direct?" And I never "got it" because we did not have HBO and I refused to pay for it.
So, when I got my job in Minneapolis with Delta as a Flight Attendant I bought the DVD series. Since I always had my laptop with DVD player I would carry a couple discs and on layovers or having a meal in the crew lounge at an airport, (as long as I wasn't having to update flight manuals or study new FAA rules and such) I'd have my "meal with Tony". Was funny at times. People in the crew lounges wondered what I was up to, see the show on my screen and sit with me.
I developed a HUGE appreciation of how great an actor Gandolfini was. Not to mention Edie Falco and many others. And having grown up with those type people around me, how extremely true to life so much of it was.
To this day, I will sometimes restart the series and when I take a lunch break here (during the week my wife hates it), I'll do "lunch with Tony"

The second season is likely but nobody has said for sure. Taylor Sheridan has 9 shows that he's created so he's a pretty busy guy.

The premiere of the second season of one of his "Yellowstone" prequels, "1923", is due out Feb. 23. You might consider binge watching the first season between now and then to see if it holds your interest.

Someone on the internet said season 2 for Landman will be in February, can't remember the date, the 21st and later.
I'm sure if I Googled it, it would be out there somewhere.

It's a Paramount film series, I'm hooked, you can only watch season 1, episode 7, episode 8 comes out for streaming on the 29th.

The star of the show is Billy Bob Thornton.
I am hooked, hooked and hooked forever.

The wife and I had satellite TV for over 30 years, 6 months ago we no longer have TV service, I couldn't be happier.

The wife has some streaming app on her phone that cost like $7/8ish bucks a month, she down loaded the app on.my phone also.

All I can say is I'm hooked like teenager in love😁
I think there is just 3 more shows till the big cliffhanger, don't they all end like that😉

I just never thought I could get interested in a TV show like I have with this one.
Thoughts, if any ?View attachment 105786
Binge watched episodes 2 - 6 last week. Will definitely be watching the rest as they come available.
