Introducing the Silver-A "Red-Leg"

I bought a 1999 Silver-A off of CL about a month ago. I was ready to do a restoration but the grill was in such good shape, all I needed to do was clean it. The frame's paint was a little dingy as well as the box so I decided to give it a touch up. My 6 year old daughter wanted some red on it so I took it apart and bought some spray paint.

When I bought it.

Getting it home.

Painting the pieces.

Sandals + over spray=

All done.

It's got a little pop to it now. I think I have a one of a kind now.

Nice to see someone having fun with these.
Who says' we have to keep it the exact way it came.

I am adding some stainless to my Genesis 2000 restoration.

I like it, although I can't help but wonder what it would look like with a red hood.
Did your toes ever clean up?

That's a good looking BBQ Pat. What's the first cook gonna be?

I don't know, something I need done quick. I do most of my cooking on the Performer.
I did do some ribeyes on it when I first bought it.

The CL gods deemed me unworthy of ever finding a redhead.
Toes are almost there.

That's different and I like it, nice job on the clean up. The way people are snapping up these old Weber up myself included there won't be any left to restore pretty soon.. I've done about six or seven and have two in the pipe. Now for the red toes I ain't going there.
