Injection Question

I will be doing 2 8 pound butts tonight - should i inject and rub when i get home around 4 pm or wait untill around 10 pm right before i put them on? Does injecting too early run the risk of the liquid running out?

Either way will work. If you inject earlier, wrap the butts up tightly in plastic wrap the hold the marinade in/on the meat for maximum benefit, otherwise whatever injection comes out will just be sitting on the bottom of a pan serving no benefit to flavor the meat.

Thanks larry i will go with the early injection and wrap - the more i do earlier the less i need to do later.
