Great area !!! And Very Nice house !!!
Camped @ Manzanita Lake a couple of times in my youth.
Have a picture I took back then with Lassen Pk still belching steam on top.

If my input means anything, you’ll be glad you didn’t move to TN. I personally think you chose well. Great area and still have access to what CA has that’s worth enjoying.
