picked up a 18 inch wsm at a garage sale. It is an older model, can't remember for sure, 1984 or 88. Anyway, I was wondering, have these cookers changed over the years? Mine has wooden handles and no thermo. Other than those 2 items, are they the same? Do they cook the same, old vs newer?

The older model cooks just like the new ones. I only have the new version but there are more changes. Go here and scroll down to the section that gives the changes in 2008. The entire article is interesting.
