I will just leave this here

Just yesterday I told myself no more grills this year. I have enough… then

Last night my wife came home from bartending and told me the brother of the guy I’m restoring the brown 1st gen Weber for this winter, came in. He asked her, your husband is the one who restores Weber’s, isn’t he? She said “or hoards them at our house?” He said he has one to get rid of.

He went on to tell her that he bought some parts to fix his but his girlfriend insisted that they get a new one (she just moved in recently). He said I could have it. I didn’t really put much into it. Thought ok, cool. Whatever.

I was sitting in my garage with a couple of friends a half hour ago and a truck pulled up my street with a grill in the back! So I guess technically it’s a curb find that got dropped at my curb. Apparently his girlfriend went and bought a new one. Not sure what kind, and frankly don’t really care 🤣

Frame is solid, green lid looks great and the control panel looks very good. Tables and plastic ends are Sun bleached. Welcome this one to the herd.

Cheers 🍻

She probably got turned off by the faded plastic.
I experienced a woman's influence on my recent platinum pickup also.
Guy posted a Genesis Platinum for $10 I replied quickly only to be told someone was already on their way to
pick it up. So, I spent my $10 on lunch. Hours later he replied that the person no showed, and he said I could have it.
I told him I already spent the money. I few moments later he replied that my wife said, "You could have it for free if you came now." I came right away.

As long as you get the plastic stuff clean, you're the only one that knows it's faded. Great score and bonus points for getting it dropped off. I'll also bet it got replaced with some shiny Walmart grill that won't make it five years.

He did say he’d like a pic of it when it’s done. He outkicked his coverage with his girlfriend, so I’m sure he’s a yes man! 🤣

Cody, I noticed you always use the attach link icon when posting pics. Why not use the better image icon to the right of it when posting pics. They show up better that way.
I’m not sure what else I can choose? The majority of my posts are from my phone if that’s any difference?

Cody it is the rectangular icon you posted on the right of the chain link icon. Click on that and then select a picture from your phone and it will upload in full view to this site.
