Nah, they still came with porcelain coated flavorizer bars and cast iron grates. The better models including the LX also have a slide lock for the flip up table. I know the Skyline grills came with stainless guts.Yeah wood slats on the bottom instead of wire rack.
I wonder if maybe they came with stamped stainless grates and SS flav bars.
That's right! My skyline came with SS and my LX came with porcelain ceramic.
Those stamps stainless steel seem like high quality SS that lasts.
More than likely that's what they are then, I've seen near exact copies of the Weber grates for sale on Amazon for years. The real ones hold up great, I've been using the same set for about twenty years now.Not to say they may not have been China borne replacements though.

If you have handled the real ones it is pretty easy to tell the difference.I've had stamped SS in other grills I picked up and some are definitely thin and flimsy aftermarket. I can easily tell the difference.
