I will just leave this here

I assume this massive cart holding the massive Weber kettle is custom? Not factory?

Imagine pickup… Good luck stuffing that in a Prius. That one piece table top is huge and all steel construction look so heavy.

I wonder if this was some kind of prototype by Weber. Take closer look at the unique lid. Anyone notice the concentric rib texture in the lid? Lid shape is less rounded than a regular 26” lid. The top has a noticeable flat area in the middle under the lid handle. Damper is “N” coded. The bowl seems a little different too. The grill grate seems to sit a bit lower into kettle, bowl seems a little more flared out, and there seems be a larger rolled lip on bowl. As for the table… The execution of slot details in table top, radius’s corners, and curve on table top and frame would take some pro skill to fabricate.

Has anyone figured out a way to "renew" the control knobs on a Genesis or Summit ? Mine are looking pretty worn and low/high/off lettering is barely visible.

I was thinking of removing the chrome trim and repainting them grey to match the factory color. But how would I add the heat range lettering ? With a stencil ?

Honestly, if you're intent is to make this grill look and function like new I would just buy a new set of knobs for it. On the other hand, I'm the kind of person that probably would try to refinish them first if it was possible to get them looking good again. Pictures always help stimulate new ideas.

The cart is custom, but the kettle was a regular production 26er.
It was aka "the flat top."

In my never-ending quest to try new things, for the wheels on my SSP I wanted to try something different. I was at Menards looking at some hardware options and found these push nuts for the axle. I don't really mind the plastic ones, but thought I would try these. And finding these things cheap and not white has been nauseating.

Quick blast and painted them black. I like it

I take some time taking them off. But I bought some off amazon a year or two ago, but I see they are no longer available.
