I was chosen as a semi-finalist in Gnarly Head Winery Rippin' Ribs contest on May 13. One of twenty-five picked to go to MIM to compete in their side contest. I am honored to have been chosen.

The bad news is I can't get off of work on that short notice.

Congrats on being chosen. Unfortunatley, that is one of those bummer decisions that have to be made. Maybe next go-round you can participate.
 
John, Congrats and Welcome to the forum. Tell us about your comp experience and your cooks. There are a few of us here who have teams and we all love to hear what's going on with the others, at least I do.!

Our team has done 2 practice non-sanctioned comps this season and after the last one , one of our mates found out that his work would not let him have weekends off. No questions asked. So we lost a valued member of the team and a good cook. Sometimes work gets in the way!

Good luck on your future cooks and comps.
