How was YOUR Tuesday? Mine? Smoky thanks for askin'...

Looks great! It was a horrible day at work yesterday so thanks! Is all the snow gone?

What did you season the ribs and chicken with?

And for the ultimate question.....Romeo's over Monte Cristo's? Both excellent but I personally go towards the Monte's......

Thanks for sharing!

Clark

Hey Clark,
yes, Monte #4 is the standard, wouldn't you know I'm out of them and refuse to pay retail prices. I'll find a mule going south soon no doubt.
Ribs - BRITU rub with 2 extra tbsp of demerera brown sugar, I was looking for a sweeter finish, which I think is now there. In foil with a glaze of maple and brown sugar, sprayed with apple juice and some of the Bullitt seen in the photo. 3-2-1 cooking method over mix of lump and Frontier briquets.
Chickens - EV olive oil for adhesion, then Costco Organic No-Salt seasoning.

Snow is long gone, but I expect flurries later this week as I switched over the snowies for the summer boots on the GTI.

That's some great looking Q but the RyJ #2? Naw, try an H. Upmann Magnum 46 with that fine Adult Beverage. I don't envy you the retail price of those babies up there, though. Was back in Toronto last fall and checked a place on Mt. Pleasant Rd...talk about sticker shock! $45 for a Montecristo #2!

Never done a whole chicken on the smoker. Personally, I'm just trying to find a way to replicate Swiss Chalet style rotisserie chicken down here. Doesn't get any better than that IMHO

Its criminal what retailers charge (and often get) for cigars. Monte #4, some would say the benchmark Corona size is $22.00 average here, and I KNOW I can get them for the equivalent of $4.60 CDN in country. Didn't realize there were that many cigar aficianados on this site!

$22 for a single Monte 4??? Geez - I guess the Miller-McGuinty Retirement Fund is doing well. One of the biggest online vendors (who ironically will ship to the US but not to Canada) sells a box of 25 Monte-fours for $103 and a box of RyJ Churchills for about $200. Those tubed RyJ #2 are $83 a box.

Great looking cook, Mac.

Nice to see someone else who likes the Bulleit bourbon.
