HOW TO: Clean Up the Axle

I actually painted a couple of axles and bought one. Now I do this. I look like Michael Jordan playing ball while I'm cleaning axles

I like it Ralph. Do you paint it when done? With the axle sanded down like that, the galvanizing is now pretty much gone and I would think it would rust pretty easily without some kind of protective coating. It looks like you added that to the "HOW TO" section which is good.

I thought the same about rusting although I don't know how much of a problem it would be. I sprayed the last one I did with some clearcoat. If I was trying to crank out flip grills for max profit, I wouldn't feel bad about using it as-is.

Yah, I suppose clear coat would be as good a regular paint.
