How to adjust the flame on the sideburner?

I have a CL genesis 330 manufactured in 2015.

The side burner will not do a low flame.
I've replaced the pressure regulator to no avail.

I have downloaded the manual from Weber and it states the flame is set at the factory and cannot be adjusted.

Ideas?

Aside from spritzing it with spray bottle filled with water, I got nothin'.

The only thing that I can think of is that maybe the grill had been converted to propane from NG and they didn't bother with the side burner. Otherwise, it would seem to be a problem with the valve. To tell if it was converted from NG to propane, check the serial number on the Weber web site and that will tell you what it was when it was born.

What Bruce said. There are WAY too many idiots out there that think all you have to do is change a hose to convert a grill. That side burner should go from a simmer to full blast

OK... checked with Weber. The grill is and was propane when manufactured.

The latest from Weber: .... "it is important to keep in mind that the burner flame on the side burner has very little degree of difference between the high and low settings.

This is because the flame has to withstand blowing out in the wind."

Sometimes those guys will tell you stuff to get you off the phone, but that actually sounds like a reasonable answer. I just sold a Silver C and while I tested the side burner and it fired right up, I never played with the flame control other than to light it and shut it off.....Duh, so I can't say how it functioned on low vs high. That being said, even on high, I wouldnt want to do more than keep a pot warm. If I had to boil a couple of gallons of water for sweet corn or something, I think it would be futile.
