How many ribs on a WSK

Hi,

I'm having a space issue on my WSK. I bought a weber rib rack to smoke 5 racks of st louis ribs, however, is there a way to smoke more than that? Or does it max out at 5?

I've smoked six slabs on my large BGE with an 18 inch diameter cooking grate. I had to trim one rib off two of the slabs so they didn't hit the dome.

with a 24 inch grate on the WSK you could probably fit eight slabs with the right rib rack.

i like to do rib singles now as they cook much faster and deliver more bark/flavor. i don't know how many singles from slabs you can get on but by adding the upper deck rack expander, i'd guess at least 5-6 cut up slabs on the lower rack and 2 cut up slabs on the expander rack.

This is two racks of singles on the lower grate.





Cook time is around 2 hours.

Besides rib racks, you could try rolling or coiling the ribs as shown in this post:
