How common are these?


 
Not as common as I’d like. Been on the hunt for one for awhile.

But not rare by any means, folks just seem to not want to get rid of theirs
 
The guy across the street put one out on trash day last week. It was gone in about 15 minutes......
 
I've had mine for at least 10 years. They work very well, even in the rain/snow. I usually have mine keeping me warm when I'm checking the turkey in the kettle on Thanksgiving.
 
Any of y'all have one like this, with the wire "cage"?

I asked the guy I bought it from if he had added it, and he said it was like that when he got it.
So apparently he bought it used, too - definitely not stock. But it's very well done and I really like it.
It doesn't interfere with performance or the view, and I don't have to worry about anything blowing out.20201009_171902fp.jpg

It's definitely not stock, but I have always thought it SHOULD be that way (especially since I live in a tinder box!) That does look nicely done!

For the longest time I thought they came like that. Recall seeing some pics online and then discovered they indeed did not come with the screen
 
10 or so years ago they were sold in many outdoor stores for under a 100.00 I had one and I used to burn all my fallen tree branches and such. Great .
