First off welcome aboard Philip! Great looking roast and spit. Want to share the specifics on how the spit was made?

Thanks guys, thought it was a about time i shared my cooks, ive learnt so much on this site and its time to give a little back! The spit is made from a 1/2 inch piece of silver steel with two 2 inch aluminium billets to mount it on, i drillled a 1/2 hole through the side of billets then saw cut them through. the forks are made from 1/4 inch copper (it was the only metal i had that could be bent), measured them out and bent them in a vice, found an old bush in work and drilled and tapped it so the forks could be attached.
i have yet to source a motor which will be mounted on the fence. This was my first time cooking on a spit, the leg of lamb was rubbed up using a morrocan based rub and cooked for about 1 1/2 hrs...melted in the mouth. The pork loin was rubbed using onion powder, garlic salt, paprika, pinch of garam masla and cayenne pepper. thanks for looking guys...and what a brilliant site!
