I already have a Genesis LX model and a Platinum series from the 90's. I want a Skyline to add to my collection. It is just different enough that I have to have one.

The other issue, and please correct me if I'm wrong, but AFAIK the Skylines were only offered in black, and the black gasser lids and control panels of that era were plagued with the "Weber fade". Any pristine survivors will command a higher premium.

Ed, you are correct about the Weber Fade and the fact that the Skylines only came in black. That is a very nice restore, but I would rather see some SS Solid rod grates vs the stamped ones.

Part of the price premium on that one is the fact that the owner did some restoring on it. I have seen them for cheap, but haven't been able to move fast enough on them.
