Holiday Weekend

Super busy with work and visitors for the Holiday. Got a few pics of some food. Hope you had a great holiday and enjoy!
This is the only pic I have of my contribution to the Thanksgiving feast. Made the traditional dinner in the oven but Dad had his little project out on the Weber.

I know turkeys go on sale Friday and I wanted to send guests out of town with some smoked turkey. The small ones were sold out so I settled on a couple of 20 pounders. I've never smoked one this big so I hope they turn out good.

Put them on the WSM. First double decker cook for me so I am somewhat curious as to how it will all shake out.

Turkeys taken off at 165 to rest

Should be good for snacks for our guests.

Meanwhile, wanted to cook pulled pork for watching football Saturday.

Set up for a long cook

Missed action shot. Only took the lid off once during the cook and I got distracted. Anyway, here it is off the grill at 190 degrees after 10 hours.

Thanks for looking and I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend!

You made some fine looking food there Robert... I always take the plastic off the turkey leg's & tie them up with kitchen twine myself.

Thanks Bill. The ham was mine. I found a way to play with my toys on thanksgiving and the kids and family love it.
