Hello everybody,

Since I was a child I loved the smell of burning charcoal and the fun of preparing food over an open fire. Four years ago we bought our first Weber (WSM) for the demolition party at our new house (in Rijkevoort, the Netherlands). In short we sent out invitations to all our friends telling them they could help take out parts of our newly bought farm so we could start rebuilding it and bring it back to a place you could actually live in. Everyone that held a hammer could eat for free, the ones that didn't were supposed to bring food (yes, I'm Dutch indeed ).

After that the fun really started. No longer was BBQ-ing burning supermarket meat to a nice black finish. The first pulled pork was followed by others, chickens, racks, all kind of stuf went on the grill. I built a UDS and got a WGA. In order to be able to do something else than look at the probes I organised a Heatermeter build. All in all we're growing and growing (one day I want to put a complete pig on) and learning and learning.

Hope to be able to contribute here, for now I'll do a lot of reading first...

Have fun!

Joost
