I like grilling using my trusted old red weber 1000 grill. in the future, i hope i can get some tips maintaining my grill. thanks
 
Welcome Andy, you will find lots of information on restoring and maintain your Weber 1000. Look in the Weber Gas Grills thread and you will see all sorts of threads pertaining to that series of grills as the are very popular. I have a 1999 1000LX I bought new that I restored and put in a 3000 frame and eliminated the side burner and installed a shelf and a right side flip up shelf.
