Here is my 2025 grill that i will be restoring, Genesis 1

I painted the inside and the outside but didn't think it would look good to paint the tread so I just scrub the tread clean.
I'm happy with how it turned out but I'm sure it would look good with the tread painted also

I think it's cool that there's little things that each of us do differently and would prefer to do differently to make our own personal grills one of a kind and personalized to each one of us.

It might not, but I'll probably end up giving it a try on an old wheel just to see at some point. Ideally Weber will start selling these wheels again at a reasonable price, but I'm not going to hold my breath over it.

Just my personal opinion but I think it would look really good with your brand new white walls
Being the perfectionist that I am, it's still a work in progress. I thought I had the design down perfectly but wanted to make them out of a more durable material. The problem with that is the pins now don't want to snap easily into the holes in the wheel. So now, I am playing around with the design of the pins so they snap into place easier without the possibility of breaking. It will definitely try my patience so I have to just walk away from it from time to time so I don't have a meltdown.

I can appreciate that and relate. Anything worth doing is worth doing right. I'm never in a hurry when it comes to stuff like this. I'll work at it until I'm satisfied even start over if I have to. I can always expect nice work out of you Steve and I'm excited to see your next restoration project.
