Haha, that's what we thought. The last one didn't do that.
Does it need to go back?
(How the hell you get these things fixed I don't know, the box it came in was so compact you would need a degree to get it back in there)

If it were mine, for a grill I just bought new, I'd call weber and ask them to repair or replace. Or contact your retailer.

That's the kind of sound I get when I have the burners going and I shut off the gas valve at the tank--the sputtering of fuel as the pressure drops and burns off until the flame goes out completely. Not sure what would cause such a sound in your case, but perhaps the burners aren't getting enough fuel. Maybe a bad burner valve or regulator?

Try the air shutters before you do anything. They're at the end of the burner tubes right by the valves. You instruction book should actually show you where and how. Like I said close them down a couple mm each. They should only be opened to about 3 to 4mm anyway.
