Hello everyone....

Long time griller...first time smoker. I just got an 18" WSMS....looking forward to figuring it out...smoking has always intimidated me....

Living in Kansas City for 45 years..I have grown up with great "Q." I want to start doin' it myself! :wsm22:

Welcome to the forum Chris. Wonderful group of people here and we all like to help. Don't be intimidated by smoking. You have a great cooker in that WSM18 and with a little practice you will do great. Take a look at the link at the top of the page that says "The Virtual Weber Bullet". You will find many great articles on using the WSM and other techniques. Remember that everyone here has been where you are now and we are all still learning. This is a great hobby if it can be called that. Remember also that all of us have had failures from time to time, but we are all our own worst critics. Just have fun and don't ever give up. Hope to see you here regularly.
