Hello to all from Boston (well, south of boston...)- just joined today after lurking for a while! I had been kettle smoking for a few years, but with the forced retirement of my old kettle, Santa was kind enough to give me a WSM 18.5 for X-mas!

Already ran a cook through it on Saturday-just a single rack of ribs and a couple chicken breasts, but I can't wait to get some larger cooks going!
 
Welcome Mark! congrats on the WSM, my favorite thing on the WSM is the rack of ribs. You didn't toss your old kettle did you? When they're too far gone for cooking, they make great fire pits

It did get tossed. It was not a weber, and it was failing structurally. I already haver a good fire pit, so I sent it on. I do love ribs. I have been eyeing the WSM for over a year now, and was warned 'not to buy it' from my wife, since she was buying it for me for xmas, so I had to be patient......
