Finally pulled the trigger on a 18.5" wsm yesterday and had a very successful 4 hour on a whole chicken today. Best smoker I have owned to date by far.

The butt and ribs are a good match. You can start both at about the same time if your butt is 6 lbs or thereabouts

Thanks everybody glad to be here. Joe F how is the smoking season up here. I came from the south were I could pretty much cook year round. I'm kinda worried that I will be limited to just a couple months out the year. You got any suggestions?

I have a covered patio and grill/somke year 'round.
We don't have the severe winters here....it's a temperate climate west of the Cascades.
We do get rain though....blue skies from July 1 - Oct 31 generally speaking.
Best summers in the entire lower 48....loooow humidity without crazy heat.
