I have been cooking with pellets for some time. Going to try my hand with charcoal. Ordered a Weber Performer Deluxe. Going to need some help getting started. Hope I can get some advice here.

Welcome aboard John. A lot of people here with Performers. It is my go to for a lot of things. You will not regret getting it. Be aware that after getting your first Weber, many realize that it is a wonderful addiction and after some time, they have a family of different Weber's. You will fit in well here.
