I've been an on again, off again lurker on this forum for a while now and decided to jump in. I retired from the Navy (Submarine Force) in 2011 after spending my entire 24 year career in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Been doin the Q thing for many years and love it as much today as the first time I lit a cooker. My current toys are a 22.5" Performer, an 18.5" OTG, a UDS, a mini UDS, a couple of Smokey Joe's, a little Weber Q gasser, and I'm finishing up a Smokey Joe WSM. We're usually in the smoker and/or grill about 3-5 times a week and are always looking for something new or perhaps better than our current methods. I'm looking forward to checking out what you folks are into and joining in by sharing cooks!

Aloha,
Jim

Jim,

I'm a new-be also, but welcome aboard. I was in and out of Pearl many times in the early 70s aboard the 'target' (only a sub sailor would appreciate that) USS Gridley DLG-21.
