Hi all, great to finally break the ice. I've been looking on for a while and learning more and more tips and tricks.
I hail from Tasmania, the island state off the south of the Australian mainland, and thankfully, currently Covid free, (being an island state it make border closures easier to police).
I currently own and use a Family Q (320) and a baby Q (100) both of which cop a fair hiding. I recently also added a Genisis Gold that I picked up for a song that just needed a little love and attention, most of which I was confident in doing thanks to the guides in this forum.
Keep up the good work guys and gals, really appreciated.

Welcome Shane from the East coast of Canada. I have a niece that lives outside of Sydney now and would love to go visit once we have Covid under control. Hope you enjoy this site.

Glad you registered to join in the fun, Shane! Sounds like you have a great Weber arsenal lined up down there in Tasmania! I don't know much about Tasmanian cuisine, so hope you can share some of your local grilling specialties with us! Hopefully some Flinders lamb, some of that wagyu from up north, and maybe a grilled scallop pie! :)

Cheers,
Rich

Welcome Shane! Do you have any local grilled specialties that you want to share with us?

Hi Rich,
Tassie cuisine tends to be pretty multi-cultural. I've attempted a number of dishes and styles to date with varying degrees of success but I must say scallop pie is not one of them. Damn things are too expensive to play with in Tas.
