Hello everybody, from finland!

My name is Hans but everybody call me Hank or Hankki, so feel free to use any of them. I live on the west coast in a swedish speaking part of finland, I also speak finnish.
I started bbq'ing a couple of years ago with ribs on my old gas grill. Last spring I visited Topeka, KS an Houston, TX for work and got some great bbq. When I got home from Houston I bought a 22,5 inch weber kettle and then it really started to be fun grilling and bbq'ing.
This friday I should get my 22,5" WSM so I can't wait to try it :)
Hoping for a long autumn with lots of bbq.

Welcome to the forum Hankki. No reason to put those cookers away in the winter. Nothing better than cookin some ribs when it's -40 out and then sitting down with them to enjoy a nice cold beer and some hockey on the tv.

Welcome Hans! You'll find all the help you'll ever need right here with the friendliest people you'll ever meet!

Welcome fellow Nordic BBQ'er
I was once fortunate enough to go to one of the small islands on the south-west cost of Finland. Even though the host grilled some good food it was the wood fired sauna that blew (or should I say boiled as it was above 100 degree C) me away.

Enjoy your WSM

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

Geir, my brother lives in Norway, Oslo.

Bob Sample, I might do the christmas ham in the WSM this year.

It may not get down to -40 here on Long Island, but Bob is correct. I love watching the neighbors looking around
for where those great smells are coming from in the middle of a snowstorm

That all being said, Welcome aboard Hankki. Keep us informed of your progress.
