My neighbor took out a small apricot tree, cut it to 13" lengths, split it & gave it to me.
For sure... I'll use it in the WSMs or the stick burner.
I'm just wondering what to expect from the smoke & what meat to use.
For Christmas a year ago my sister-in-law gifted me an assortment of smoke woods.
There were several fruit woods including peach and apricot.
The apricot smoke is very similar to peach smoke.
I really like it.
If you can store the wood where it will not get rained on you will have a real treasure.
I have used it too. While I find it similar to peach it seems to be a little milder. I like it on pork and chicken, but find its a little lite on beef. It mixes real nice with cherry.
