Has anyone built a holster for their heatermeter?

I want to find a way to make a 3d printer holster so I can mount the heatermeter on the side of my grill. Slide it in and plug it up. Anyone have any plans for something like this? I am using the 4.2 heatermeter if they have anything? I have a printer but never made anything from scratch so I wouldn't know where to begin.
