After watching trendkill bbq I went ahead and ordered a blackstone 28 replacement griddle. Been wanting to try one since I got the ex6. The measurements on it are 28x16.5 so it'll fit pretty good.

Shipment came in today. This model is bigger than the measurements I found online. It measures in at 29x18 1/2. Door closes fine but I'm sure it's close lol. Going to season it tomorrow and cook something.

Will the rear grease outlet work well with the Smokefire grease drainage setup?

Also just on a side note, how do you rate the split shelf add on for the EX6. Sturdy?

After thinking it over i went ahead and purchased the entire blackstone griddle 28 pro series setup. I'm 100% sure it would have worked because others have done it just wouldn't have been ideal for me. I don't want to shower every time I cook because I smell like smoke lol.

The split shelf is useful but I do feel it could have been a bit wider. You have to open the lid before you place down whatever you're cooking.

In the middle of the night when I should have been sleeping, I watched a video of a griddle insert for many Traeger grills. You remove the grills and the grease plate and insert a complete griddle that has a hopper to go around the firebox. I thought it was interesting.
