Gyro Kebobs

TVWBB 1-Star Olympian
Used an Alton Brown Gyro recipe and made kebobs out of them. Only change I made was used half ground lamb and half ground chuck.

Placed the kebobs on skewers and cooked them indirect.


Once they were done I moved them indirect to get a little color and char on them.

Plated with tzatziki sauce (another Alton Brown recipe) onion, tomato feta cheese and served with some Avogolemono soup.


 
Looks great John. I do love a good gyro. The bold spices in the meat, the tangy creamy tzatziki, the saltiness of the feta, the crunch of the veggies...every flavor and texture just goes so well together.
 
I'm not going to lie....
I feel like going down there and get a plate. Nicely done John. :)
 
John: beautiful pics, presentation, and I can only imagine how good it tasted! Avogolemono soup is one of the very few dishes Cindy has made for me that I would say: no thanks. Perhaps yours turned out differently!
