Grilling Level: Party

Had my daughter's b-day party today (a few weeks after her Birthday). Sorry there aren't more prep and plated picks, but the menu was kabobs and fish. She likes the cedar plank salmon. I had a piece of cod laying around too. Did steak kabobs and veggie ones. The fish has lemon pepper on it, but a few of the salmons have my bbq rub with honey substituted for brown sugar. Used the WSM for the fish. Removed the water pan and put the bigger ones on the bottom rack.

Also made some crock-pot mac and cheese and sweet potato discs and folks brought pasta salad and some other sides.

Thanks for looking!

How did the fish work cooked on the two levels on planks? It is giving me some ideas.

It worked out well. I took out the water pan and used direct heat. I used about a chimney and a half of charcoal. The lid temp got to about 325. I put the thick pieces on the lower level and the thinner ones on top. It took about 20 minutes.
