Grilled Thai Beef Salad

One of our favorites. Subbed skirts for the flank/London broil.

Never disappoints.

Skirts out of the marinade.

On, about 3-4 minutes a side, I guess. I grilled these direct, uncovered the whole time, turning constantly to minimize flareups until I thought they were med/med-rare and the color I wanted. 8 minutes or so total.

Off.

Sure, it keeps the corn out of the fruit salad! Love the skirt. Have you tried the marinade subbing soy with 2 Tbsp of nam pla? I love fish sauce with Thai flavors...

Great looking skirts and sides Don!

Campbell's plate is precious.

I'm sure it was just as good as it looks.

How do you like the Bud Light Platinum? Haven't tried it yet, but perhaps this weekend I will pick up a 6 pack.

Thanks for the tip. I trust you with Asian cooking, for sure. Next time!

I like it alright. It's 6% ABV, so it packs a punch. I drank Bud Light for years as an "everyday beer". Now that I am older and don't really have an "everyday beer" anymore, I prefer quality over quantity. BLP is tasty, IMO but not something I'd stock the fridge with. Give it a shot, though. If you like Bud light, you'll like this, I think.

Gary, Do you have a fish sauce you would recommend? Soy based marinades with skirts or flanks are a favorite in our house and would love to try mixing it up.

What Jim Said. Good to see you posting again.

Don, that is a great salad, and I can see why Campbell wanted to show her plate. They both look awesome.

The meat/salad mixture plate looks even more fantastic than the rest. I bet it tasted good.

Campbell is a lucky girl for sure!

Bud light is my "every day" beer so I think it will be good, but potent!
