Greetings! Weber Genesis E 320 Lid "Refurbish" Questions....

Hi all,

First post here! Bought my Weber Genesis 320 about 7 years ago and it's still in pretty good shape. After coming from years of throw-away grills, this one has been an absolute pleasure. Here's my current issue:

Just over two years of ownership, the grey paint on the "end caps" started to flake. Weber's response was essentially "Meh...". It's really flaking at this point, yet the rest of the grill still looks pretty darn good. The enameled copper lid section is still fine. Is there a good/smart/safe way to repaint these end caps? Looking for a technique and recommended products. It's not a "restoration" based on some of the outstanding work I've seen here, but it is an eyesore to me and I'd like to find a way to restore it back to at least a clean look. I can easily see myself getting another 8-10 years out of her - the on;y other thing I've replaced thus far has been the ignitor.

Thanks, and looking forward to contributing here!!!

Mask it off and rough up the metal caps. Hit them with high temp paint. Color would be your choice.
