Greetings from the Zambezi Valley

Just a quick introduction as it is the polite thing to do :)

I am based in Zambia, along the banks of the Zambezi River, a beautiful part of the world.
At the moment it is wintertime here and ideal for sitting around a braai in the evenings (if only to keep warm).

I am keen to learn more about low/slow and smoking and have a the smallest WSM (14.5") on order. I figured that would be ideal to start with and also because the size up is straight away double the price (and getting stuff this way is a bit of a mission). And it should be fairly easy to take with on holidays.....

I have a variety of other BBQ"s, from foldable to half drums, and a 22" kettle.

Just hoping to learn a lot here and it looks like you are a friendly bunch !

Hi Anne, & welcome.

Where abouts in Zambia are you? It's a very long river.

Look forward to seeing some cooks from along the river.

Thanks Tony,
I am near the border town of Chirundu (the border with Zimbabwe).
About 10 km from it, more or less in the bush....
