Grate spacers and new grate set up.

Just wanted to share a couple pics, this is the EX6 with the GBS grates and the 3rd stainless grate, I received the grate spacers from Weber and the whole set up is really nice and tight. Just a few Jalapeño sausages for dinner. The real fun is tomorrow.

Yeah Weber came out with these spacers to tighten up the grate movement.

Cool! Thanks for showing. Grates shifting around does get annoying. I guess I could be cynical and say “Leave it to Weber to try to make money out of not making the grill accurately sized in the first place!” Still, it is a good addition on your SmokeFire.

Is the Weber interchangeable grate system thick stainless as well, like your added 3rd grate? Or is it the thinner chrome style?

The GBS grates are thick stainless.

Just picked up a new set of GBS grates at Home Depot for $23.00. They are on clearance.

So I have some CI inserts and what not but these new SS grates have been really nice to work on. Much better than stock grates she came with.
