That's awesome. Not sure I've ever gotten one of my q200s that hot before. Haven't tested out max temp on my 320 yet though. Sounds like you got a good one

I can't say I have really ever thought about painting the lid of a Q grill black. That really looks sharp.
What kind of paint did you use?

Had this powder coated

My Q 2200 does 700 with a better regulator and 2000th bigger gas orifice

Just lid, it was a new unit in 2014 when I had it done. $15 to sandblast and $20 to powder coat

That's a very good price!
Certainly much better than grinding it with an angle grinder and spray painting it!

Still waiting for parts for my Q320, but fired up my Q2200 and seared some 6 minute steaks for supper tonight.

Cleaned it up and installed the grates and vinyl tank wrap. Still waiting on the light

Looks great! Now all you need to do is paint the lid a color like blue or red. Hope mine turns out as nice as your's. I just need to quit being lazy and clean it up.

Actually if it came with no light, a regular (not battery op) ignitor and no warming rack it's a Q300 not a 320. Still VERY nice machines and yours turned out great.

Light came in, this is the upgraded LED version of the original light.
