Good Cook/Satisfaction

I'm curious, if you well seasoned (experienced)smokers, get as much satisfaction/Grate feeling, that me as an not so experienced person, does when something comes outs "Great". I'm wondering what I have to look forward to as I gain more experience. Of course no matter how experienced you are, you always have the finished product to look foward to.Great Q. John

I enjoy cooking. Now, the feeling I get when my food gets eaten up by others puts me on cloud nine. I recently made some chicken for a family get together. Everybody came over to my wife and told her the chicken was great. They wanted the recipe, yada, yada, yada. I loved it. Over 50 pieces of chicken disappeared!

I love it at competitions. My wife will put the extras out as samples. The crowds will come and sample but then there will be several people coming back for more samples of the same thing. You just know they like the food.

I'm still amazed that putting together raw meat, seasonings / spices, heat and smoke will turn out some fine tasting food.

Well looks like I have, hopefully many years, of good cooking, I can't believe how close I came to giving up, with my handme down ECB with no mods. If I wouldn't have discovered, this web site, etc.. that told me how to cook/modifiy with my cooker, i'd probably be just cooking with my Gas Grill. i also can't beleive how little I've used my gas grill, simce I started smoking. thanks All. John
