Giblet Dressing

I have a dressing recipe given to me a few years back (was his Grandma's) and I'd like to add giblets to it this year (i'll be splitting the dressing in half since i'm the only one that will eat this). I've had giblet dressing in the past but never made it. Can someone enlighten me as to how to adapt this recipe with giblets? Are we talking simply boiling for a couple hours and cutting up to add it to the dressing or ...

Thanks,

Bill

Bill,

Not sure exactly what you are asking. If you already have a dressing recipe, I would just add the finely chopped giblets to the dressing. I usually put the liver, heart, gizzard, and neck in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil and simmer until they are tender, then remove the neck meat and chop with everything else. I then add it to my dressing mixture.

Good luck,

Ray

Yeah, that's what I was asking. Just adding it to an existing recipe.

Thanks, Ray.
