I discovered something from working on those grills that I neglected to mention before. What tends to drop is the frame extension that those tables are attached to, and I've fixed it quite easily. Simply loosen the nut on the frame extension, lift the extension up and keep tension on it while retightening the bolt. It may not solve every problem, but it's made a big difference on the ones I've come across like that.Yah Larry. it does have the dropsies. At least on the right side anyway. But that is just an inconvenience. That is a great find and YES, that will clean up just fine.
Oh, ok. I didn't realize that the tables were held on differently on that model. On those SS grills, the weld on the brackets tends to break. It requires more than a simple tightening.
Ok, now I get it. Well, if the weld isn't broken, doing what I suggested does succeed in evening the gap between the table and the frame upright.Steve, there are essentially identical structural wise to regular Silver/Gold grills. The frame extension have a bracket in them to hold them in the extension tube. For some reason, the welds on the SS grills seem to fail on that bracket where the regular steel frames don't normally have that problem.
Until they are clean. A green 3M scrubby comes in handy too.How long do you let them soak in dawn and bleach Bruce?
