Genesis Platinum 1000 Restoration

I would think acetone might be a bit aggressive on the HH ultra. It is dry to the touch but not cured until heated, so I would try the alcohol on the bottom and see. If there is any black on the rag, call it quits

Soy based solvent blend... that is an interesting one!
Yeah, not sure how they get solvent from Soy but the stuff while a little "weird" at first if you're expecting the familiar aroma of things like Xylene or such. There is no odor. While I did not try I don't even think it's flammable. (don't take me at my word here I did not try) but if lack of solvent aromas and dangerous chemical aromas is any indication I'd say it's not flammable

Their scent is my favorite parts. The old wax and grease remover I used to use was enjoyable... maybe that is why I am so damn goofy. I love the smells of chemicals. Especially the pesticides, I love the smell of 2,4-D - and love its effects on weeds, lol

You were probably one of those kids that came out and ran behind the mosquito truck when it drove through the neighborhood.

that reminds me of Bruce's quote in the "painting the cookbox" video:

"Doctor said I'll live another 30 years, I'm trying to prevent that" *sprays paint into the wind maskless*

Okay guys, so if I'm going to fix this cookbox and end caps...

1. Day with less heat/humidity - tomorrow should be cooler and I can do it in the garage with the fans going?

2. If that doesn't work, am I back to goin back down to no finish again?

3. Any other recommendations?

You shouldn’t have to take it back down to aluminum. If you get it all prepped and sprayed right away in the morning it should be cool enough.
